Just Water bottles spring water in Bodmin, on a line running at 6,000 to 8,400 bottles an hour. Labels were not adhering properly to its PET and glass bottles, and SolvAir solved the issue with an 11kW blower and two 762mm Air Knives that dry bottles of all sizes.
Just Water’s spring water bottling facility struggled with labels not adhering properly on its PET and glass bottles. Its line runs at 6,000 to 8,400 bottles an hour on bottles of varying heights, and label application was affected by pre-wash moisture, variable filling temperatures and condensation.
The label adherence problems resulted in severe production inefficiencies and higher labour costs, because of expensive secondary interventions and the additional manual requirements. This caused significant delays in bottling and packaging, potentially impacting product quality and delivery timelines.
SolvAir installed a Paxton 11kW blower with two 762mm Air Knives, which effectively dried bottles of all sizes. The Air Knives direct the water down the bottles to clear it from the surface, allowing the labels to adhere properly.
This solved the label adherence problems and eliminated secondary interventions, resolving the labelling issues and significantly enhancing overall production efficiency, with bottles packed into cardboard boxes much more quickly.
Our solution for Just Water Ltd exemplifies SolvAir’s expertise in tackling complex bottling challenges with straightforward, yet highly effective Air Knife technology.
