SolvAir delivers advanced Air Knife solutions for optimal can drying in high-volume food production facilities.
Thai Union is a fish processor whose high-volume operations handle 36,000 cans an hour. Residual water on the cans was compromising inkjet coding quality and hygiene, and SolvAir solved the issue with PX200 1.5kW Paxton Air Blowers and six Gesete 80mm flat nozzles.
Thai Union faced challenges with residual water on fish cans, compromising inkjet coding quality and hygiene standards across their production facilities. Each can measures 64mm in diameter and 34mm high, and their existing drying method proved inadequate for high-volume operations processing 36,000 of them per hour.
The inadequate drying process caused inconsistent inkjet coding, compromising product labelling and traceability, while residual moisture on the cans presented hygiene risks, potentially affecting product shelf life and Thai Union’s adherence to strict international food safety standards.
SolvAir provided a bespoke drying solution using PX200 1.5kW Paxton Air Blowers with Integrated Air Controllers for adjustable speed control, the blowers being housed in Blower Enclosures. The system includes six precisely positioned Gesete 80mm flat nozzles, which efficiently remove water from 36,000 cans hourly.
With an adaptable drying system, we’ve showcased SolvAir’s ability to optimise high-volume food packaging processes. The Integrated Air Controllers provide the flexibility required for diverse production environments.
