SolvAir's high-performance Air Blowers and custom manifolds deliver clean, oil-free air for precision drying of automotive parts.
Aisin Europe Manufacturing (UK) Ltd makes steel car door profiles at its Birmingham site. Coolant oil left on the profiles after production was causing quality control problems, and SolvAir solved it with a 7.5kW Air Blower driving a Circular Air Knife and Flare Nozzles, which remove the oil without manual cleaning.
Aisin Europe Manufacturing faced quality control issues with its steel car door profiles because coolant oil remained on them after production. The existing drying method, which used disposable sponges and compressed air through copper tubes assembled by the customer, was ineffective in completely removing the oil residue. Each profile has a section of 35mm x 38mm, and the oil had to be cleared from all surfaces.
The inadequate drying process resulted in below par product quality, potentially leading to customer dissatisfaction and increased production costs. Manual intervention was also being used to deal with the oil residue, and this affected overall efficiency and productivity in the manufacture of automotive parts.
SolvAir supplied a 7.5kW Air Blower driving a 50mm Circular Air Knife, through which each profile passes, and two sets of Flare Nozzles on a custom manifold. The blower sits in a Paxton Blower Enclosure and was supplied with its own electrical control panel.
This automated solution effectively removed coolant oil from all surfaces, eliminating the need for manual cleaning and ensuring consistent quality.
SolvAir’s work with Aisin highlights our ability to improve existing processes. Our advanced air system overcame the limitations of their previous drying method, ensuring perfect results for every steel door profile.
