Rejection Systems
Push, progressive and multistep rejection - matched to what the container can take.
Push, progressive and multistep rejection - matched to what the container can take.
Automated Line Rejection Systems
Three mechanisms take a defective container off a moving line: Push, Progressive and Multistep. The choice follows the container, from delicate glass through to high-speed single-lane duty.
Key Features:
- Gentle segmented diversion for fragile glass and thin-wall plastics
- Sideways displacement that keeps containers upright and stable
- Direct impact expulsion for single-lane, high-speed duty
- Rejects routed to a bin, an adjoining conveyor, parallel conveyors or an alternative line
- Conductive rejection segments available for electrostatic-discharge protection
- Multistep integrates with inspection systems from other manufacturers
Key Specification:
- Mechanism selected on container fragility, lane count and line rate
- Conductive segments for use where the atmosphere is potentially explosive
- Retrofit onto an existing line, or supplied with an E2M inspection stage
- Line rate and layout confirmed on application

Multistep
Segmented rejection elements peel the container off the belt in stages rather than striking or overturning it, for glass and thin-wall plastics. The segments are conductive, guarding against electrostatic discharge where the atmosphere is potentially explosive.

Progressive Rejection
Displaces the container sideways off the main conveyor and keeps it upright through the move. Rejects route to a dedicated bin, an adjoining conveyor, or parallel conveyors for reprocessing.

Push Rejection
A timed impact expels the container from a single-lane line onto a reject table, or across to an alternative line for reprocessing. Suits containers built to take a knock, on high-speed duty.

Drying and inspection sit next to each other on a packaging line. SolvAir Air Knife Systems clear water, condensation and surface debris from containers before they reach the cameras, so E2M Couth vision systems inspect a clean, dry surface. That means clearer images and fewer false rejects.
