Nissan Ionised Air Finishing
Nissan’s vehicle shells entered the paint line carrying airborne particles from the assembly area, and the dust left imperfections in the final paint finish. SolvAir solved…

SolvAir's Ionised Air Systems achieve perfect finishes and enhanced efficiency in your manufacturing processes.
Tesla had 24 employees across a 24-hour period cleaning its body/framework with compressed air, because the product was dirty after production and showed imperfections. SolvAir solved the issue with an unmanned Ionised Air System of two PX2000 Blowers and Ionised Air Knives, which clears the debris without compressed air.
Tesla found that the product was dirty after production, meaning there were imperfections on the body/framework. Friction during production left dust and debris stuck to it, and 24 employees across a 24-hour period were working to clean the body/framework using compressed air.
The cost of employment and compressed air meant the running costs for Tesla were very high. Due to human error there were also rejections during production, meaning loss of time and money, and any dust and debris left on the body/framework would potentially spoil the finish and lead to the vehicle being rejected.
SolvAir supplied an Ionised Air System, including two 15kW PX2000 Blowers and Ionised Air Knives, which cleared the debris from the body/framework. The system is also unmanned and no compressed air is required, meaning significant cost savings.
The area is now unmanned, compared with the 24 employees previously working across the 24-hour period, and defects on the body/framework are down to the bare minimum.
We’re completely happy with the project outcome! The blowers are working great thanks, I appreciate the preventive maintenance that the team did on the last visit.
