SolvAir's engineered Air Systems provide precision drying and blow-off for a wide range of vehicle parts.
Koni B.V., a leading manufacturer of vehicle shock absorbers, was dissatisfied with low-pressure fans and circular nozzles that were ineffective in completely removing rinse water from products up to 1.8m long. SolvAir solved the issue with two 11kW Air Blowers and two 1872mm Aluminium Air Knives, integrated into a specially angled stainless steel plate.
Koni B.V., a leading manufacturer of vehicle shock absorbers, was dissatisfied with their existing drying system. The low-pressure fans and circular nozzles were ineffective in completely removing rinse water from their products, which varied in size up to 1.8m long and needed drying on all surfaces.
The inadequate drying process led to quality issues in shock absorber production, potentially affecting product performance and durability. Inefficient drying also resulted in increased production costs, as well as the potential for customer dissatisfaction.
SolvAir supplied two 11kW Air Blowers and two 1872mm Aluminium Air Knives. The Air Knives were integrated into a specially angled stainless steel plate, engineered by SolvAir, which ensured thorough drying of all surfaces on various-sized shock absorbers. The distributor Rycobel provided the blower platform, electrical control panels and mechanical installation.
By replacing ineffective low-pressure fans with our advanced Air Knife System, we’ve transformed the drying process, eliminating water-related quality issues.
