The 2024 Year In Review
2024 was a year of milestones and achievements for SolvAir. As part of our annual review, we have summarised some highlights as follows:
UK Development
A key goal of 2024 was to expand our UK customer base. Our research and development programme focuses on building Air Solutions that guarantee performance and that meet industry requirements in energy use and environmental policies.
We were delighted therefore to work with a number of new companies, particularly in the recycling, automotive, and manufacturing sectors.
One of our latest Air Knife case studies includes an eco-friendly, energy efficient Air Knife system, capable of separation, as well as belt cleaning.
If you would like more information about any of our more recent Air Knife case studies or applications please contact Jamie Garwood at 01473 320 307.
European Partnerships
Our Business Development Manager, Jamie Garwood, marked his first year with us with visits to several of our European Partners.
Jamie was welcomed by organisations in our network in Turkey, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and France.
Following this, SolvAir co-hosted a three-day distributor meeting with our European partner GESETE in Marz, Austria.
This event brought together 25 representatives from SolvAir’s European network, as well as international partners such as Paxton from the US.
Advanced Air Alliance
A key outcome of the distributor meeting in Austria was the launch of an enhanced Air Solutions network - the Advanced Air Alliance (AAA).
The AAA aims to facilitate enhanced knowledge sharing and collaboration.
SolvAir have committed to build on our exciting relationships with clients and partners to support innovative research and development in Air Solutions in partnership with the organisations in this network.
Research and Development
A key R&D highlight of 2024 came from our team focussing on prototyping Circular Air Knives designed for larger components and higher line speeds.
The resulting solution will not only reduce the floor space requirements for Air Solutions in this application, but also reduce overall electricity costs and energy usage.
“Big” Drying Systems
Our Air Solutions portfolio was expanded to include large-scale drying systems for industry.
Excitingly, our collaborations with Lenoch Engineering have resulted in enhanced vehicle chassis and body shell drying solutions.
In addition to this, we worked with TATA Steel to develop steel coil drying systems on an industrial scale, with a key goal for 2025 to focus on large-scale industrial machinery capable of drying any element in any size.
If you would like more information about our big drying systems, which are suitable for cleaning and drying large scale automotive and industrial parts, please contact Jamie Garwood at 01473 320 307.
Facility and Brochure Launch
We were delighted to expand our operations in the UK with a new warehouse and distribution hub at Altitude Business Park in Suffolk.
The goal of this facility is to enhance operational capabilities as well as meet the needs of our expanding client base.
To mark our developments, we released a new and comprehensive 2024 brochure, detailing all of our latest products and services.
You can download a PDF of our brochure here.
If anyone would like a printed copy, please contact Jamie Garwood at 01473 320 307.
BrauBeviale 2024
We were pleased to attend BrauBeviale 2024, the leading global exhibition for the beverage industry.
BrauBeviale brings together suppliers to showcase a wide range of products, solutions, and services spanning the entire beverage production process.
SolvAir were fortunate to meet some of our European network, and to explore developmental opportunities within the European market as part of our Advanced Air Alliance (AAA) network.
Smithy Speeders Sponsorship
We were delighted to sponsor, with Carbonlite, the Smithy Bridge Primary School F1 Team - the Smithy Speeders.
The team magnificently represented their school with 40 other teams at the Schools National Final at Magna Science Exhibition in Rotherham.
Team Developments
We were very pleased to welcome Dan Mathew as our new Production Manager in December 2024. Dan brings valuable experience to oversee production operations and is based out of our Ipswich centre.
We were also overjoyed to celebrate a birthday milestone for our Lancashire-based Sales Engineer, Steve Hand.
CEO Chris Davies said,
“Steve has been with us from pretty much the start, and we are privileged to know him. Steve is a dedicated family man, loves sport, always enjoys a laugh, and SolvAir wouldn’t be the global organisation it is today without him”
As we reflect on an exciting 2024, we look forward to continuing our product development, networks and services across the coming year.
We wish all our customers, clients and partners a very successful 2025.
